DX 10.1 already?

has any heard this i heard the dx 10 cards will no longer work once dx 10.1 is in play i feel bad for those who have paid 6 to 700 bucks for the 8800 series gpus

I havent heard anything about that, but seeing as how virtually no games or apps are yet to utilize DX10, I don't think we need to worry about it for quite some time.

That doesnt make sense to me.
No new drivers or anything?
Do you mean wont be compatable with future released games?

Sounds like it will be the same thing that happens eventually with every other DX version, such as DX9.0b and 9.0c. The cards will work, but they wont offer all the features of the updated DX version.

But as I said before, I dont think it would happen for a little while.

Its basically ati 9800 series in dx9 doom 3 namely. I still can remember how doom 3 make the joke out of ati's 9800 back then.
