So far I've only used Debian based distros: DreamLinux, Elive, Granular, Linux Mint e17... I think that's it. Dream Linux is my fav so far.
 
Ubuntu 7.04 Feisty Fawn! i love it, except i got the X64 version and so i can't view Flash content at all.

I always try to make sure someone has a viable choice when looking at a poll, so they can see the results. Sometimes I make the last option "I like polls" for those who respond for the sake of it.
 
Can you play games on Linux? I have been thinking of trying out Linux which version would be good for a beginner that does not know a thing about Linux?
 
With virtualization you can run windows in a window, and subsequently almost any windows app. Though with Wine I can run most .exe and portable programs. MSOffice and iTunes have been successful with Wine so far...
 
eneyone know were i can get my hands on a solaris torrent or somthing iv always wanted to see or use it

and whitch version of linux is the gaming one im a game finatic
can somone tell me how big solaris is or how big linux mint is or ubuntu and what specs a computer has to hae to run it im old school and i plan on running linux off a p2 with like 6gig hdd

lolz i have so manny questions whitch linux can i run a server off of simple and easy
and what is this thing you ppl talking bought emulating linux i want it to be the only thing on my hdd

Im completely new to ubuntu, in fact i just installed it last night. Any online reading material I should look for?

sorry get your own torrents we don't discuss this here.
and NO, linux barely plays games, well it does but really few via Transgaming Cedega, here
and i think ID software port some of there games on linux

I think I can help you.

1. Download this. (nspluginwrapper)

2. Extract it to the desktop or something.

3. Look inside for an executable called "getflash". Double click and hit "run in terminal".

4. Wait for it to finish, restart your browser, and voila.

As for distros, I use Fedora and Arch mostly. A little Ubuntu and Debian on the side.
