Simple thread, try and build a decent gaming rig for as cheap as you can, the cheaper the better. Remember it's got to be a gaming computer, not just the cheapest parts you can find.

Here's mine:

Rosewill R6425 BK Black SGCC Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Retail 20.99

Western Digital Caviar WD800BB 80GB 7200 RPM 2MB Cache IDE Ultra ATA100 Hard Drive - OEM 40.99

G.SKILL 1GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) Desktop Memory - Retail 42.99

ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce4 SLI ATX AMD Motherboard - Retail 99.99

AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ Windsor 2.6GHz 2 x 1MB L2 Cache Socket AM2 Processor - Retail 129.99

SAPPHIRE 100210L Radeon HD 2600XT 256MB 128-bit GDDR4 PCI Express x16 CrossFire Supported Video Card - Retail 144.98

Microsoft Windows XP Home With SP2B 1 Pack - OEM 89.99

OCZ StealthXStream OCZ600SXS ATX12V / EPS12V 600W Power Supply 100 - 240 V CB, CE, CSA, UL, FCC - Retail 89.99

659.91

I'm sure you guys can beat this, and I'm sure that I screwed something up as I'm new at this but that's what I got, critique, but most of all post yours up so everyone can check them out!

The dell q6600 computer that was on sale 2 weeks ago for $629, and just add a 8800gtx.

~$1,000 for the best rig you could build at the current time.

It's still a start :)

Besides, 2 gigs of ddr2 CANT be THAT bad.

It's still a quad, and most likely a scaled down intel or asus board.

It'll remove all his overclocking options, and severely reduce his upgrade ones..

But that price is still quite sexy.

Well, I listed a sub $280 (after all MIR) light gaming rig here before. It had a...

1) AMD 64 X2 3600
2) 7600GS
3) 1gb ram
4) 80 gig hard drive
5) $2 case (yes two bucks after MIR)
6) rosewill 350watt PSU

You forgot a motherboard, DVD/CD drive, and an OS.
