I dunno the system requirements for Madden or other sports games, but you might want to up the GPU just a tad (8800gts). Other than that I think you've got a fine system there.

This is the minimum system requirements for Madden

Minimum System Requirements
# Operating System Compatibility: Windows 98/ME/2000/XP, Not Mac Compatible
# Optical Drive: DVD-ROM
# CPU Speed: Intel 933MHz Processor
# Disk Space: 2.0GB
# Display: NVIDIA GeForce 3 64MB or ATI Radeon 8500 64MB
# Memory (RAM): 256MB

am i alright?

Get a intel C2D E6550 instead. Cheaper and Faster than E6420
And for GPU, get a 8600GTS at least. Get 8800GTS 320MB if you have some extra money.

Any recommendations for a OS?
I am going to chose Windows XP professional, but what is a good price for it? I didnt realize how expensive XP is damn.............

CPonder, Your build looks pretty good, but the only thing I would change is your hard-drive. I would get a Western Digital, or Seagate. Also you'll be alot happier with Geforce 8800GTS.

I would buy that Graphics card, because everybody seems to love it, only problem is i dont have that extra cash laying around unfortunately. my budget is right around 800, and i dont even have a OS yet which will be an extra 130$ i cant go above 800 unfortunately.
