Hi

Okay so the first one is 20" with 800:1 contrast and 5ms response time..

The second is 22" with 700:1 contrast and 5ms response

Which one should I go for? I watch a bunch of DVDs on my computer since I don't have a DVD player so of course large screen size would be nice but I don't know if the lower contrast ratio is bad enough to warrant the 20". I play a few games as well.

Oh - and if I play games at below the recommended rez. will it be fuzzy?

Thank you

go with the 20" with the higher contrast ratio...But may I suggest the Viewsonic Q20WB..It's a 20" widescreen LCD and it has 1000:1 contrast ratio, and costs $179.99. I've gotten it with no dead pixels and from what I've heard, the acers are gambles of whether to get dead pixels or not.

On 2nd thought my rig won't be able to run most games at 1650x1080 so what's the biggest size but at a reasonable resolution less than that

if u look widescreen version of the movie, go for widescreen monitor, if u look fullscreen version of the movie, go for normal monitor.

So how would a normal DVD (non widescreen) appear on a 19inch widescreen compared to a 20 inch standard?

Would one be stretched or something?

Yeah it would be stretched on sides, it's not so bad, but it might annoy you, it's up to you.
