Another noob question: Would like to have 4GB of RAM for my desktop; is it necessary to have a 64 bit OS to utilize this RAM? Thanks.

What do you use your computer for that you think you want 4gigs of ram because for most that is overkill... Also do you run Vista or XP?

32 bit vista supports 3gigs I believe but in order to really get the 4 you pay for you'd have to use 64 bit... either way 4gigs is probably overkill.
