So I want a really high end desktop. I've been digging around on newegg for a couple days and here's what I've come up with. Price isn't really to much of an issue, so how can I make this better (but not ridiculously expensive)? I'd say keep it around $1500.
CPU: Core 2 Duo E6850 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115028
Mobo: GIGABYTE GA-P35T-DQ6 LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128055
RAM: CORSAIR XMS2 2GB DDR2 800 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145038
Video: GeForce 8800GTX - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130072
Would it be worth it to upgrade the memory to DDR3? That would require a whole new motherboard though, and it took me long enough to pick out that one. So basically, is this a good setup or can I increase the speed by replacing a few parts?
THANKS!
