Oh. It's a nice PSU and at a nice price too!

ok. this is what my current PSU looks like (without that 0/I on, off switch)

hermeslyre, the 500w PSU you're recommending, it is fine with me.

But is it the same size or about the same size as the old PSU I have which I pictured above or is most psu's standard size? I just want to know if it will fit my computer with no problem. If this is good, then I am happy with my computer once I get all the new stuff installed properly. :)

Unless you have a prebuilt the main thing you'd have to worry about is the PSU connector. This PSU looks to have 20+4pin connector, same as the one we're recommending, which is pretty standard. Some of the newer motherboards have a single 24pin connector but i'm guessing that's not your case.

Sorry for hijacking your thread but am going to get a new psu for my prebuilt pc what will be the problem there , since hermeslrye stated
Unless you have a prebuilt the main thing you'd have to worry about is the PSU connector.
cheers.

I said prebuilt as a generic term. Dell is one of the worst when it comes to proprietary PSU's.. But apparently HP and many others can and will accept 3rd party power supplies.

So... Got dell? :D

Yeah the PSU u have been suggested is damn good for the price, u'll probably be able to upgrade to an higher gfx card later (maybe 8800ultra). As for the graphics quality, u,ll probably be able to play your games with high settings, dont think it would be a problem.
