best OS?

Windows fans will say Windows.
Linux fans will say Linux.
OSX fans will say OSX.
BSD fans will say BSD.
etc. etc.
 
i like windows and liunx. together you can do a lot. i will say i hate mac. so it does not have my vote
 
I've tried Linux/Unix before but I just never used it long enough to like it. I was so used to Windows that after a week or so I just gave up with it.
 
I've been Windows user always but lately I decided to try linux distros and I'm quite impressed. Other than gaming abilities, I am starting to like linux more. I'm going to build/buy a pc dedicated to only running linux os. Dual boot is just a hassle.
 
lol. no it just lets you run linux on windows. it is like shuting your computer down and booting linux. but you can minimise it and go back to windows. the down side it costs money

So I'd still have the instability of Windows? That's what I went to get away from lol. I didn't really think it was monitor half n half btw.
 
I always like Windows 2000 the best, but its slowly losing support, Xp and Vista is like Windows 2000 SE2 and SE3
