difference between laptop and desktop ???

My question ,is there any difference with the performance ,if we compare 2 machines with the same configuration ???

yes. desktops are better all around. since they can lose heat better, they are able to have bigger processors. also they can have more ram and the ram is much cheeper. also you have pci cards and ability to have a very good video card. and have much more hard drives in. but also laptops are nice since you have to portibility

No PC motherboard is small enough to fit in an laptop case... See out stock C2D or Pentium coolers yet?
 
lol. shows my lack of reading the whole thing. i still stand that pc are a bit better b/c of the cooling capabilities

Laptop CPU is different from Desktop... And also depends on what do you need the computer for!
Gaming? Definately Desktop!
Word processing/ business use. Both are OK. Depends on where you are. Like here in UK, get a laptop is at similar price as desktop + monitor...
 
Yesterday I read that some guy selling an E2140 that put it in his laptop for an day...

Well It was from an ebay description...
