So I do a lot of CAD and CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) on the computer and my previous system was about 5 years old, so I just built a new one last week. Let me know what ya think.

LOL, yeah, it wasn't 16k, but it wasn't cheap either. I purchased a lot of the components on eBay and Pricewatch.com. I guess it was probably closer to 10k, but over the course of a year or so. The programs I use are EXTREMELY demanding on existing computer technology. One of the most demanding applications I run is Geomagic Studio, which is used for point-cloud manipulation. Thanks for the comment!

Well have fun Manipulating clouds with that beast.

LOL, I wish it was fun, but it's no more than a means to an end... I'm converting my 04 Toyota Tacoma into a 500whp beast. So, er Death will probably be the "end". lol Speaking of horsepower, is that your evo? Do you race it at all? Is it stock?

haha, no its not my evo, i wish (1 day). What mods are you doing to your tacoma?
I have a some better size picx of the evo if u want ill upload.

I always thought the sideways monitors as desktop extensions were a cool idea, but lcd's don't even look the same when you tilt them. That would drive me nuts.

From what I've seen, a guy I live with has a 24" gateway with a tiltable stand and when you turn it it looks the exact same quality, just a different orientation.

If you think about it you'll realize that it's actually really nice... It fits a 8.5x11 document perfectly in programs such as Acrobat or Word. Also tool bars are typically tall and slender, so they fit great as well. Seeing as that is the only sort of stuff that I'll ever display in them it actually is as close to perfect as you can get... Honestly, if I had enough money to get three 30" screens I would NOT do it... It would be WAY too wide. However, if my primary monitor was vertical, I agree that would NEVER work for me.

*jaw drops*
Lucky.

I know what I wanna do when i grow up :D

Grow up? Never grow up. Do you think I'd really be irresponsible enough to build an awesome computer like this if I was truly "grown up" and not a millionaire? lol, OH, and I am a millionaire...

...NOT, lol It's all about the student loans baby. My Education fund at work... I put the FUN back in Education Fund. heh
