liquid cooled or normal?

ok so i'm looking to build a new computer (after i finish my system of course, priorities first), probably through the winter since car projects come to a halt. figured i'd build it so it'd last a little longer than store bought ones. what i'm wondering is, are liquid cooled computers 'better' than normal ones? as far as gaming. or does it not really matter as far as specs are concerned? i know nothing of water cooled systems. probably a little too technical for me. and my needs. just wanting to check around

what's the average price difference from a normal PC to a water cooled? for a decent computer

and lastly what would i need to build a water cooled PC? i pretty much know what i'd need for a normal PC

i want one with at least 2 GHz and 4 gigs of ram. or maybe 2 gigs of ram and faster processor. could use the hard drive from this comp. maybe get a new dvd burner. gonna play games like doom 3, f.e.a.r., unreal tourny, and bioshock. need something pretty beefy to get the full potential out of f.e.a.r., which is amazing looking. thinkin a 7900 or 8800gtx card too.

Liquid cooled pc's are for extreme overclocking. So it could help improve gaming. But most likely, just set yourself up with a Core 2 Duo or Core 2 Quad and you can run games just fine, and overclocking is a breeze.

You order the parts for your pc, then you buy the watercooling parts. You can either buy a kit or buy parts individually. Kits come in all prices, you could have a solid watercooling kit for under $200 most likely.

GHZ means next to nothing these days. It is all about architecture. The new C2D's are built incredibly and even though GHZ is low, performance is outstanding, plus alot will overclock into 2+ GHZ easily. You really don't need 4GB of RAM. 2GB will be great if you are looking into vista.
 
For the games you want to play this would work perfectly:

Gigabyte DS3R
Core 2 Duo E4400 (2.0GHz)
2GB DDR2 800 RAM
500W PSU
GeForce 8500GT/8600GT - Will do the trick fine, max settings no lag etc. But if you want to go for higher, unnoticable FPS then go with a higher card.

To your quetion though; Nah, you won't need watercooling if your not overclocking majorly, you can still overclock a bit, just watch the temperatures.
