Need Dell Dimension B110 Processor socket info

greetings,
i have been to the dell site and through their crappy on line manuals and am unable to find the info i am looking for.....

can anyone tell me with a high degree of certainty what "socket" processor i have in my dell b110?.....currently, it has a 2.53ghz processor to which i am going to replace with a 3.06 celeron.....(if i can be sure of the "socket").....thanks again!

Most likely it'll be a Socket LGA775 Mate.

It could be, but highly doubtful a PGA478....

The early generation which had P4's consisted of 478, but most had 775's....

If you have a P4 without HT, it's definitely a 478. If you have a P4 with HT, I would try to find the model number...

......thanks for the reply.....you have all the info i have as far as i know....come ta think of it, i think i tried a "775" FAN on the board and found no way to attach/fit it......so, it may very well be a 478 as you say.....humnnnn

See if you can go into CPU-Z and take a screenshot, so I can gather info from that and give you a definite answer...
