value of my computer

Hi, I am getting a nice computer set up from a friend for $1500 and I want to replace my present desktop with a laptop. I'm guessing my monitor is worth about $50 or so, not too big of a deal I mostly want to know how much my computer is worth. The stats are in my signature. Thanks for all help and support.

Athlon x2 4600, 8800GT 768mb, dvdRW, 120GB SATA HD, 2gb corsair RAM, x-fi music sound card, custom case & large case fan, ASUS MB(the one with the snow flake on it). I forgot to mention Canadian dollars, sorry.

Around 150$ for your system, the system your friend is selling you isn't worst the 1500$ at best 1000$ unless that 8800gt is a 8800gtx

He has the top-of-the line 8800 in there, it's worth $750. Also remember this is Canadian dollars. The 22" widescreen is a dell, and the RAM he put in there was top of the line corsair RAM. I guessed at some of the details but I pieced his system together on Memory Express website to be $2000 without the monitor, but if it really is worth less than that would be sweet. He also has a Zalman AM2 processor fan that's worth $65 or so. It's really the quality of the parts that boosts the price I think.

Again I'm talking Canadian Dollars.

I just don't get how my system could be worth so little. The audigy4 is $50, a pioneer dvd burner like mine is about $45, the best price I can find for the 9250 like mine is $85, the celeron has got to still be worth about $30, the RAM, okay maybe $30, the wireless PCI adapter, I don't know maybe $15, the motherboard - $50... we're not talking that low. I'm presently pricing it at $225, $275 with the monitor, Canadian dollars - is that ripping people off? Maybe it's a little high I might lower it to $200 without the monitor.

okay, I admit it it's probably worth 150 US, I just didn't realize how the prices and everything had changed in the last while.

It's a HP. No one wants a used HP, especially one thats older. And the max ram you can put in it is 1 gig. Anyone that knows about computers would pass on this one.
