for some reason i cannot get my windows xp home computer to boot straight into windows (w/o asking me to click on my log in name). i have tried both settings as far as "use the welcome screen" and "use fast user switching".

also, when i ctrl+alt+del i want the task manager to come straight up. i dont want the win 95 looking screen comming up and asking me if i want to restart/shutdown/logout/...

im wanting to set this comp up as a server with remote access, so i will not be useing a monitor/mouse. and i want to be able to remote straight into it after a reboot.

thanks for your help.

its not booting directly into windows because probably you have a password on your account and/or you have other accounts.
Right now on my PC if i press ctrl+alt+del i get task manager directly because this is my options in control panel :
use welcome screen : ticked
use fast user switching : ticked
