My Computer Specs is

40Gb HD
160GB HD
1GB Ram
3.2GHz Pentium 4
128mb Geforce FX

its says Vista is will work, but I wana know how good? the Video Card is on the list on microsoft and supports Aero, so anything else

1GB is fine, but I've heard that Vista takes 1/3 of 1GB at idle... So unless your games need only around 600MB of ram, you may need to upgrade.

Vista Ultimate on my system doesnt use as much as i thought,It uses around 500Mb-550Mb idle.

but yeah if you game i would get another gig of ram:)

so if im playing wow and COunterstrike source, then i need 2gb ram, i wont be able to buy some more ram for a few months, so should i stay at xp untill then?

I would. But then again I will not be getting vista until at least SP1 comes out. It will have a new version of DX10 with it. And the new standard for pci-e is coming out soon. Which will mean new video cards again! So I would wait.

i have vista already just need to install, and my video card is an agp, so i should wait untill i have ram, but if i do decide to do it now, everything will run slow>?

i have em all whatever one i need i wanted to go ultimate

You are talking Legit Software Here Aren you?

For your question.

I am running Vista Ultimate, And for a Quick Example of its Resource Needy Ness,

I would Highly Suggest Getting Either a New GPU and Ram,

Or

An Extra Stick of 1Gb Ram.

Vista will just not Cope on a system with only 1Gb Ram. . .

I got vista home premium and it takes about 650 mb of ram. Stay with XP until you can afford another 1gb ram and SP1 for vista comes out. If i had a choice, I would go back to XP at the moment, although vista isn't completely horrible.

I Would Never Go back To XP.

I love Vista.

Why go back when you are actually running and using Vista?

Btw.. Sp1 for Vista that everyone seems to be waiting for and some people are soon to be testing in beta, will iron out some of the problems people are experiencing, but as with all new concepts/formats there will be teething problems and certain incompatibilities not only down to microsoft but manufacturers of hardware/software.

Bare with it.
