virus all folders 180KB and exe

Hi,

Somebody please help me out. I am facing a virus problem, I will outline the sympthoms:

1. All folders are converted into exe extensions.
2. All folder size becomes 180KB
3. Task Manager Disabled.
4. Registry Disabled.
5. Administrative rights are disallowed.
6. Folder options is missing.
7. Systems keeps on restarting sometimes.
8. on double clicking any folder it doesnot open.

I thaught it was brontok virus, and used brontok removal tool from bitdefender, it was useless this time.

Kindly, suggest me something,

brontok does that too but didn't you use any antivirus software it could have tell you the name and then look for a proper removal tool, it's probably a trojan
use THIS for a good trojan remover
if you really think its brontok use THIS and THIS, but i think you need to get a good antivirus such as Kaspersky or NOD32 or the free Avira
here

edit: i skipped the number 5,6 and 7, yup those are done by brontok !! and yeah the brontok tool from bitdefender is useless, i tried it once

Sounds like a big problem to me. That cant be Trojan, I had many and none of them did such a s**t.

Some of these will do it. I suggest you try all one by one to be sure that the virus has been removed. Really shitty, man I feel sorry for you. I had to reformat hard disc last time when I got infected with worms. They came in system Registry. Lol:eek:
 
Post a HijackThis log, and we'll take it from there.

Please download the HijackThis installer from http://www.trendsecure.com/portal/en-US/threat_analytics/HJTInstall.exe.

Run the installer and choose Install, indicating that you accept the licence agreement. The installer will place a shortcut on your desktop and launch HijackThis.

Click Do a system scan and save a logfile

When the Notepad window opens choose Edit -> Select All to select the entire log, and copy and paste the log into a reply post.
Most of what it lists will be harmless or even essential, don't fix anything yet.
 
All administrator properties are disabled so that a real screw over, that how i fix things, Yes post a hijackthis log :D well get it fixed in no time

Hi,
Use Quick Heal Total secutity 2008 this will solve your problem.
but your all folder will hidden
