My computer is working very slow when I’m trying to write

Hello all,

Recently, I bought a new computer.
Here are the specifications:
MB: Abit Ab9 Pro
Procc: Intel core Duo e4400
Mem: 512 MB Corsair :D
Video: Gainward 8600 GT
HDD: WD 250 Gb

What is the problem!!
After I installed the Windows Xp+SP2, I have a problem when I’m trying to write something. I press a Key and after a while (2-3 seconds) it appears on the screen. (There is a big delay between the moment I press the key and the time when the key pressed appears on the screen).

I even changed the Keyboard. Same problem using a Microsoft keyboad.:(

Yes RAM should not be the issue... I can type perfectly on my P2.8 w/ 512MB...

Are you running any programs in the background?
 
The problem is not the RAm because i even tried with 1 Gb. Also, there aren't any programs that run on background.
I will try to re-install windows and i will keep you updated.

You might want to defrag once in an while. On my 1.3GHz comp I sometimes get laggy letters, defrag helped it alot.
 
Problem solved

It wasn't the ram or other component. I was using an old software (Keylogger) and when it runs in background, i had this problem.

Thank you very much for your opinions. I think i will by a new ram (at least 1 GB :) )
