Getting New comp. Need help!

Hi, my computer died to I’m looking to get a new one (for gaming). I think I’ve found one but I wanted to ask for your opinions on this. Im looking to spend around this price range at most, and my friends say that this is a really good deal for what you get. There’s also free shipping. What are your opinions?

But I understand whats in this computer. My brother worked on computers for 4 years in the military, I could build one if I needed to. Would it be cheaper to build my own computer? I mean, this is a really good deal I guess, from what friends are saying. Could I build a computer of this caliber for cheaper? Or a computer for the same price but better?

EDIT: This also comes with free shipping for the whole thing, lots os avings.

Yeah I;m buying it for gaming. I'll be playing games like Counter Strike: Source, Team fortress 2, etc. So it needs a pretty decent computer. THe one I linnked would be perfect, and thats about the speed I want. I'm at school right now, so when i get home from the GYM (around 530 pst) I'll check back. hopefully I get soem more opinions :). Thanks guys.

$782 after mir + s&h and can one of the other members let me know if there is anything I should change and drenjunkie I didn't know what your tastes for a case were so you can look through this list of cases and lets us know what you pick and well tell you what we think cases
and btw it came out to about 865 on ibuyer for the same stuff and why what I'm recomending is more is b/c I upgraded it so that it would run alot smoother

Looks pretty decent but i'd rather go with Intel over AMD, btw that hdd is expensive get this one instead

And unless you need modular i wouldn't get that power supply and even then i would rather spend 30$ and go for the corsair 520w

For the cases anything would work, but you'd at least want to buy a case from 30$ and up since the ones bellow that are crappy and can bend really easy

The 590sli supports SLI at x16, everything below SLI runs at x8. Kinda like the 680 mobo's, they are the only Intel boards that will run SLI at x16. (ie: i think the 650i runs sli at x8)

I didn't know that, so that's why you shell out more on the mobo for better SLI performance... I thought they all ran at x16. I learned something here..

why???????????

I have never had an AMD, worked with them and on them.,Never owned or tweaked one... I really don't like their sockets, and I don't like the terms they use... FSB is so much more self-explanatory...
