Should I get a refund back from my 2XFXs 8800ULTRA extreme and get a Quadro FX5600 1GB I'm hard core gamer but I do a lot of CAD sometimes

lol, this we can't decide for you. If you do more CAD than gaming and would see better use of the workstation card then my opinion would be yes. But if you really want to play Crysis/etc then it would shift to no.

KOF my friend is getting a new rig with like no price budget, hes getting a qx6850 and ddr 3 memory, he doesnt know what to do about gpu, two ultras in sli or two 2900 in crossfire- whats best for pure gaming fps?

depends on the games. 3kmark06 i get more pts with the crossfire than sli.

Eh no! Not when I can get 1000FPS more with an 8800ULTRA and they can use the total memory of 1,024mb ram each I think

They both can't use their respective 1Gb of VRAM separately. Doesn't work in SLI, or Crossfire. Both cards need to render the screen so the are both loaded with the same textures. Even if you set one to render the top half with the other rendering the bottom, texture and geometry cannot be added selectively to either card. It sucks, but SLI and Crossfire just aren't advanced enough yet
