Create a backup CD thing for Vista OEM

Hi I have this evening purchased Visa Home Premium 64 bit OEM. I understand it can be installed once and once only. So what I wanted to know, when I install the OS on my fresh new machine can I create a recovery CD/DVD or backup CD so I can reformat my computer and go back to that point with just an operating system and no more junk on the computer.

I did this on my present computer but I was only able to do that as I bought the computer premade and it prompted me to do this when I first turned the machine on.

What prgramme will I need to do this?
Will it work and not make me buy a whole new OS?

you can just use the vista cd again. it just means you cant have it on 2 computers at once. you can install it on one computer as many times as you need
 
Well I have read people re-installing it on the same computer and it NOT working. So I don't really want to take the chance and would prefer a recovery CD. Thank anyway

Acronis True Image takes an image of your drive as it is, and you can backup this image to an external HDD or optical disks. You can store that backup and restore to it whenever you need.

Norton Ghost does the same, and should be available for Vista now.

thats bs its worked everytime with me 4 xp I would think vista would be the same

If the image is big I have a 250gb external HDD I could stick it on.

You can use the OEM disc again you just have to call Mircosoft to activate it again. I have the same OS and my PC crashed due to problems with nvidia 's new drivers and I had to reformat. It's no big deal just call the 800 # and they will activate it for you.
