RAM 533mhtz?????

I have look around on here but can't seem to find the answer(I'm a bit slow I think). I I have a motherboard that say standard memory DDR2 533 does this mean it would be pointless to get say DDR2 677, 800, 1066?Will anything other than 533 run on this board? Will it run but be clocked back to 533? This will be an AutoCAD computer and here is the Mobo and CPU http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813185101

it would be pointless to get faster ram unless its cheaper the only thing I would look at is the latancy
