use yahoo messanger in Ubuntu

Iam using Ubuntu now, and when I download yahoo messanger its an exe file is there a linux version of this?

why not use Gaim or Pidgin as it's called now ?
it's built in with most linux distro's

Or, you could install Yahoo Messenger through wine, should work

Alternatively, you can use an online (web) messenger like Meebo.
