bought a 7800gtx for 99.99

Pretty good deal. If you were forced to use newegg to buy a $100 card, you'd have to get a 7600gt, the 78 being quite abit better.
 
Okay this is just an obvious cry for attention because you want people asking you where you bought it from - of course it is cheap.
 
I found 2 x 7800Gt's on my local craigslist for 130$. Which isn't bad. I had just bought my 8800gts and now have 2 7600gs on my hands so i didn't jump on it.

But ya, 100 doesn't seem too bad for a 7800gtx.
 
Craigslist can be a very nice place to buy computer crap. I came across one guy willing to sell a 7950gt for $100 and a 7800gtx for $130. I gave him an skeptical email about whether the were broken or not and why he was selling the GTX for more. long story short, he checked out and then switched prices. Unfortunately I couldn't afford it at the time so struck out. :(

Kof do you use slightly altered usernames on different sites? Cause I've seen people like kof2001 or something similar on some pretty weird sites.. I won't tell which lol.

I remember that, I was kidding. But still, The forum fit Kof perfectly, from what I know of him, that's only reason I suspected.
 
7800GTX is a great card. My brother has it and is always getting around 100FPS in Counter-strike: Source (Which he is play all the time :P)

As for the price, that's definitely a good price. Better than any 7600GT that you would buy elsewhere.
 
I'll agree that Craigslist is a good place to find deals on parts. Right now on my local CL there is an 8800gtx for $300. I just emailed the guy and asked him a few questions.
