Just bought this motherboard and was wondering if I could try putting my Pro Tools HD3 (3 cards) old PCI (not X ) cards in it. I know Digidesign recommends putting them in 3.3v/2A slots.
All I can find on the net is that the Asus is PCI 2.2 compliant. What does it mean? I sure don't wanna blow my cards. Please help.
Thanks.

PCI 2.2 slots are 3.3 volts so they should be fine

You mean PCI-E right? I have never heard of X...

If they are meant to be used in PCI slots they should work...

PCI X slots were longer than PCI slots and ran at 133mhz.
