Building a New PC: Suggestions?

I recommend Q6600 instead of E6600

Don't waste your money on HD2600Pro

Get either 7900GS or 8600GT
http://microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0253746
http://microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0259147

Both will outperform HD2600 Pro by far, and both are cheaper

Don't get more than 2GB RAM

And get this motherboard

Get this hard drive

I have the case it's amazing.

If your hard core gamer than get a HD 2900XT 512mb or an 8800GTS 640mb or and 8800GTX 768mb If your not a hard core gamer than get a HD 2600Pro 512 as you seggested or a 8600GT/GTS 512mb

I'll probably get the mobo you suggested as well as the HD. What's the difference between the Q6600 and the E6600? Also I would have to get the 2nd vid card you linked cause the first one doesn't say it's compatible with Vista, which I have.

Q6600 is a quad core processor

E6600 is a dual core processor

Actually, both video card are compatible with vista. Both have vista drivers

If you are gamer then I would recommend 7900GS, because it performs better than 8600GT

If you are not hardcore gamer then get 8600GT, because it has newer features such as DX10, purevideo 2.0 etc

Well I'm trying to stay on a reasonable budget ($1000 would be fine, but $1500 is where I start to question myself) and get a computer that can run 2 applications of World of Warcraft for the sake of playing 2 accounts at once, and still be able to just quickly minimize both and surf the web.

Also, is everything compatible with Vista? Somethings say so but for the one's that don't, I'm not sure if it's because it's incompatible or if it just doesn't matter.

that motherboard is overkill for the other components you are wanting to run. something in the $150 range will be plenty for your build, and you can use the money you save to get an 8600GTS which will run circles around the HD2600 pro. everything else looks fine, i would follow maroons advice on the RAM and CPU. having more than 2 gigs of ram isnt useful on a 32 bit operating system.

What are your thoughts on the 7300 GT?

It's surprisingly cheap for a 512 mb video card which makes me question it a little bit, but seeing as how I know very little about video cards, I have no idea if it has a Vista driver.

Or the 8500 GT perhaps?

Any reason why are u not going to newegg? Some component seems over price.
HDD, get one with SATA, 16MB Cache. I haven't heard of the brand u choose. I will go for Seagate.
GPU: 8600GTS / 8800GTS 320MB depends on budget
CPU: E6750/ Q6600 depends on bugdet
MB: Evga seems to be cheaper on 680i chipset, worth have a look.
PSU. I will rather choose Consair 620W/ 520W modular PSU.
DVD burner: Not sure why the one u choose so expensive. I think SATA DVD burner is around $35 @ newegg.

Too expensive for a 7300GT.
A good/ bad GPU is not solely looking at the Memory Size. u need to look at Memory Clock speed, Memory Interface, etc.
For $100, u can get 2600xt or 8600GT

I'm going to this site instead of newegg.com because this is a store that's a 5 minute drive from my house, which is why I'd rather go here, just since it's less waiting time.

I noticed that the mobo I selected has 2 connecters for chasis fans, and 1 for a CPU fan, but the case I selected has 3 bays for chasis fans. Is this going to be a problem? I planned to get a fan controller as well if that affects anything in this equation.

So I was looking at Mobos again today, cause things are changing everyday and I don't know it until it happens. Neither of these are very new, but I know very little about Mobos....

Mobo 1
Mobo 2

I like Mobo 1 because it has 2 PCIe x16 slots which I might end up using for dual monitors sometime in the not so distant future, but again, I know little about mobos.... Which do you think I should get?

You can run dual monitors on a single vid card and I really like my DS3R mobo... Same one as #2, it's awesome and rock solid...
