I am currently running WinXP MCE.
I want to play Halo 2 Vista, but dont feel like switching hard drives and stuff.

Can I run Vista in a parallel program, and have it save?

So, I can run Halo 2 Vista without installing it everytime.
And I assume I can get full use out of my pc, meaning, running it in the program, and using my gpu and stuff.

Thanks.

If you have a big enough hard drive you can partition the drive and dual boot between both operating softwares, that is what I am doing at the moment. I play my older games on XP PRO and newer on Vista Home Premium 64 bit.

You would have to install Vista on a separate partition. It sounds like you're thinking about setting up a virtual PC on top of XP to run Vista. That would work, but you cant play any games that way.

Alright.

I have another hard drive I can use.

How can I have it setup where I log off and boot on the other hard drive.

Thanks.

ur thinking of dual booting, partition ur HDD and one put MCE and the other Vista then ur set

You would need to turn off and power back up the PC, then boot into Vista. You can't simply log off like you do when you switch members, at least not the way you are doing it.

Exactly. Simply create a new partition, and install Vista on THAT partition. Vista will automatically create a boot menu for the XP installation. You don't need to use a second hard drive.

Yeah i am also agree with colt1911,,if you have free space on hard drive then you should have to go for extra partition and what ever you want to be.but the dual boot operation is very much important between the partitions you have divided the hard drive..
