Best gaming motherboard out now ?

There is no best gaming moterboard. Most motherboards do the same sort of thing, the only thing you have to worry about is if the motherboard is compatible with all the hardware you want.

I understand what you mean. However, I personally will choose a Motherboard to suit my purpose instead of getting the 'best' one.
For example, I think currently the top end MB for intel processor are those with X38 chipset or 680i chipset, however, if I am not prepare to pay extra for DDR3 RAM or not prepare to SLi, then using these 'best' motherboard is some kind of waste.
 
if you had infinite money and watend to run intel and SLI, buy the ASUS Striker... but motherboards in the same price range isnt really going to improve your frames....

The ASUS Striker and Crosshair are the two best I've seen, just depends on your processor manufacturer. Too bad the Crosshair doesn't support the Opteron Quad. If you got the money, go with a Striker with the Core 2 Quad QX6700 or the Core 2 Extreme.
