hey guys im a newbie and hoping you can help me i currently brought the Maxtor OneTouch III firewire 400/usb 2.0 storage hard drive thing , but when i put the installation cd in i get this error message. (pic below)

some programs require the microsoft net framework installed in order to function.

It could be Data Execution Prevention as well, if the .net framework doesn't fix it try disabling DEP and running the installer (reactivate it after it's installed or if it still doesn't work)

As he said, try the .net first. If you don't know how to install that then google it. And if you still can't then you probably shouldn't be using a computer.
