Hi guys, I've given up on my current laptop, its old an so id thought id upgrade an so im looking for a new laptop. I use it mainly for browsin the web, work, storing music, the usuall really nothin too much like downloading films or playing games. Therefore, i would like you all to help me find a decent laptop, speed is important as i hate to wait for things to load.

So, what do you all think??

Thanks

Fair enough m8y, few things...

Whats your budget? This is one of the main things you need to know when buying summin like this. How much you want/need to spend.

Where are ya from? There is no point recommending a shop of place to buy a computer if your miles away from the location.

Your idea on a product? The info you have given is great but I can think of a million types of laptops that would match the info given. You must have something in mind? or a shop (locally or via the internet) that you would go to when you are going to buy the laptop.

Have a look at the things above and then reply, this will help us zero in on the laptop you are after.

My Budget is £500. I live in manchester so currys, comet, dixon, pc world etc are shops i can get too.

Ive had bad experience with packard bell laptops so that out of the running unless you can prove otherwise.

I like the sony laptops, quite petite and light weight, dont want a heavy bulky thing like my toshiba at the moment. Id like to run more than one software at a time without it slllllloooooooooowwwwwwiiiiiiiinnnnnngggg on me.

Basically, a speedy, reasonable memory, with wi-fi etc good looking laptop and also the a laptop that you enjoy using without urging to throw it out of the window when it slows down etc.

Have a look at the ADVENT 8315

If you stick with 2gb of ram that should be plenty for a speedy laptop. Any laptop won't slow down after a month or so unless the user messes it up.
