Whenever i try to delete aim 6.6, it says i do not have proper permission. i am the administrator on my vista pc. How can i get around this?

it says

Allow Administrators (johnny-cash/administrators) full control c:.....aim 6.6 this folder, subfolder, and files.

so i should be able to.

So you cannot delete the installer??

I know this is probably not the case, but when you are trying to delete it, is the program completely closed or is it running somewhere in the background. There are several programs that even though you close their GUI and it looks like they shut down, they are still running on some level, however minimal, in the background.

Pidgin is a wonderful Open Source cross-platform IM program. It's the newest incarnation of the original Gaim. I prefer Gaim and still have the setup program for v1.5.0, but Pidgin is very nice also. Cross-platform means you can set up all of your IM accounts (AIM, Yahoo, MSN, etc.) and access everyone of them with one-click. Very posh, and always nice to support Open Source :)
