Hi

I'm really interested in this LCD: http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/us/en/sm/WF05a/382087-382087-64283-72270-444767-3297215.html

because of its 2560x1600 resolution.

Does anybody have it or has tested it? I would like to know how it is to work with it? Is it too wide?

I'm a software developer, so I'm not interested in games. Does it look OK, when everything is aligned to the left, or you need to drag every window to the middle of the screen?

Right now I have 1600x1200, 20", and it's great. But I'm really interested in 2560x1600 :)

I know in theory how cool it might be to have such a huge space, like being able to have two documents open and such... but I would like opinions from those who really use or used it.

Thanx

Thanx guys,

but, LCD TV is not an option. Too big with too small resolution.
Full HD 1080p is 1920x1080... good resolution, but 47"... not what I want.

I can get 1920x1200 on any 24" wide screen monitor, for half the price.

@diduknowthat: I had 2 and 3 monitors, but it's just not what works for me.

Well, as a software developer I'm spending most of my days at my computer, so spending some more money on where I make money, seems quite right.

So, anyone with any experience on working on 30" LCDs, do let me know.

Thanx

You must be pretty blind if you need anything bigger....no offense.
Not yet :)

Get the Apple Cinema Display. Same size, same resolution, in a much nicer package.
According to reviews, HP has a bit clearer and better quality picture...

It looks like these are really rare monitors, since nobody here got one. Well, I'm planning the purchase till the end of the year, so there's still time to get some info.

thanx
