New Build Issues - where to post?

I have built 3 computers in the past, and just completed my new machine and have the following issue:
Turn on the power switch at the back of the case and the:
1) 'green light' on motherboard comes on
2) All the fans start up
3) Hard drive number 1 turns on (felt for vibration)
Then I press the 'power' button on the front of the case and:
1) DVD's power up (lights come on)
But no boot up happens or
1)No 'HD light' on case front
2) No signal to monitors
3) No 'power on' light on case front

When turning on the switch on the back of the PSU, the motherboard light should come on, that just shows there is power to the motherboard, But having the fans and hard drive come on is not supposed to happen until you hit the power switch on the front of the computer.
So, it sounds like you have a short somewhere. Either the motherboard is grounded to the case, (did you use your motherboard standoffs?) Or your computer power switch is bad, or you have it hooked up wrong. Or you have a bad PSU. Just guesses by the way.
