my phone is locked so i cant put in my new sim card and i need to unlock my phone any help are there how to guides or free programs you can get

I dont think it is illegal. 100s of people do it at boot sales and markets in England. But thats just England.. There is software available but I think its too risky, I'd go to a market or somewhere, cost you no more then a tenna.

yeah theres loads of places it can be done but wether its illegal or not i dunno.

i dont care i it is...i getting mine done lol:D

when i put an O2 simcard in my orange phone it asks for a subsidy code or something which i dont know.

The act of unlocking a phone is legal, but the software to do it with is still quasi illegal. The courts are still working on weather it is legal or not.

So, you can unlock it, but not use any software to do it with. :) Sort of.

If you call the carrier and they dont give you the code then its illegal. If you do it anyway, just be careful is all im saying. Anyone remember the fiasco with people that figured out how to unlock the iphone? Hmmm?

There is plenty of software avaiable, no need for it though. The carrier will usually give you the code.

Not suprised people are trying to unlock the iphones in UK. Prices are absolutely ridiculous, 270 quid then 35quid a month for 18months and you only get 200 measely texts and minutes!!! Haha, cannot justify spending that much!

Think you got conned mate! I get a free HTC, 5000 texts, 3000 mins and unlimited internet for £20 for 18 months.
