Hi ,
Last week, I bought a new Fujitsu Siemens pi 2530 laptop
I found that the OS was Vista. Because I didn't like Vista, I decided to format my hard disk and install XP PRO . Once I insert the CD , a messege appears " Setup did not find any hard disk " . Somebody told me that my hard disk should be (Sata) , and I nead to find the sata driver . I went to Fujitsu Siemens website , but ....... what is really the file I should install :confused:
Another thing , I don't have a floppy driver , how can I install the Sate driver in this case . Does a flash memory do the work ?????

I really need your help :(:(

Sorry for my bad English

a 3rd party partitioner will work. GParted is very good. Also, Windows ME boot disks are great, if not very slow, at getting the job done. visit bootdisk.com to download an ME disk.

Bootdisks wont help if he doesnt have a drive to put the disk in...

If the computer was working before, then the sata drives are already installed. There is something else wrong.

Damn, I didn't even see that last line. My bad.

Though...many people have problems when trying to 'upgrade' Vista to XP. Vista likes to try to prevent itself from being direct-formatted by another Windows OS. As you said, the drivers are already there, but Vista is saying 'no, you are not able to format me' to the XP Pro CD. Hence, some form of third party intervention that will say 'yes I am able, and I will' to Vista's 'no you can't' is needed.

BTW, love your avatar :)
