Out of the two following processors the Intel Pentium 4 SL6HL is faster. Am I correct?

Intel Pentium 4 SL6HL Processor 2.80 Gigahertz SOCKET 478

AMD Athlon 2200+ XP SOCKET A 462

Between those the Intel is faster, think the 2200+ was only 1.8ghz. Not enough to out do a P4 2.8. Its match in the XP line would be a XP 2800+ or 3000+
 
those are from two pretty different generations i believe. the AMD's that competed with the p4's were not xp's, they were actually the first Athlons
 
The first Athlon was released in 1999 and competed against the PIII, When the P4 was released in 2000 AMD upgraded the Athlon to the XP Athlon in 2001.
