Around new years I am going to make a $900 computer for gaming and college, and it will be my first computer that I am going to build. I have watched Google videos for learning how to make a computer but I still have a feeling that something is going to go wrong.

Specs of computer:
XCLIO Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

EVGA 8800 GT

1 stick of 2GB memory

320 hardive

Rosewill RP600V2-S-SL 600W SLI Ready-ATX12V V2.01 Power Supply

Windows Vista home basic

Spire 80mm PCI Slot Case Cooler

Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 Conroe 2.66GHz LGA 775 Processor Model

EVGA 122-CK-NF66-T1 LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 650i Ultra ATX Intel Motherboard

If I could get some advice or if you have a question please post

Get 2 sticks of ram instead of 1. That way you can take advantage of the Dual ram function on your motherboard.

Otherwise, not bad.

Agreed on the 2x1GB over 1x2GB - it's cheaper as well. I'm not really a fan of PCI slot coolers, better IMO to use case fans.

What 600W power supply are you looking at?

this is the supply that i will be getting: Rosewill RP600V2-S-SL 600W SLI Ready-ATX12V V2.01 Power Supply

Actually I was thinking in ways of a quiet computer :) An aftermarket HSF with a large fan would reduce the total system noise a lot. But if noise issues aren't of his concerns, then yes the Antec 900 would be a superior choice.

No noise - Watercooling

Normal - Case with some fans, like the Antec 900...

Loud - Zalman 9500

Well the Antec 900 will be pretty loud with stock HSF compared to cases like the P180 with aftermarket HSF. It's all personal preference I guess, but I have my P180 tuned so that I can't hear it unless I'm within like 4 feet of it and it's completely quiet.
