hey guys.
i have the DFI NF590 mobo along with my x2 5000+ black box

Im having trouble knowing were to start on ocing
in my boards bios i have these options for the cpu

CPU clock multiplier
CPU/C51 HTT frequency
CPU/C51 HTT multiplier
CPU/C51 HTT Width

what do i start with?
anyone mind walking me through a few steps?
id like to oc my ram to.

much appreciated

You probably want to leave the multiplier at AUTO for now. Try upping the HTT frequency bit by bit, and when it becomes unstable youll have to drop the HTT multiplier link to 4 x or 3 x (dont confuse this with the cpu clock multiplier)

Your ram will overclock along with your cpu, it goes up with your HTT frequency, if you get to a stage where you cant boot, try upping the CPU voltage and RAM voltage and slacken the timings. Or if your overclocking by a lot then try dropping your ram speed a bit

Up the multiplier, it's a black box! Then up the FSB, try and keep the voltage at stock. Go in baby steps, start with 100MHz, then 50MHz, then 10MHz, and then by 5MHz. Each time load into your OS and check that it's stable by running a game or prime95.

ditto, it's the black box for a reason.
