My ATItool stop working. It dose not display core or memory. I also cannot load any saved settings. I had this problem before but i discovered that i have to rite click and run it administrator mode. But now that dose not work. same goes for RivaTuner. None of these programs can load the default settings and speeds. I'm currently running vista 32bit ultimate, i suspect this is the problem

The reason is because ATI Tool currently doesn't have a digitally signed driver for it's low-level driver, which is needed for detecting GPU settings and to overclock. So Vista does not install it, unlike XP.

What I do is I use ATI Tool for the artifact scanning, and Riva Tuner for the overclocking. Works great on my 2900XT and 8600M GT.

It's vista. Atitool .27beta 2 only allows for the artifact scanning in vista. If you want to overclock on vista with an nvidia card, use rivatuner or ntune. After you set your clocks, just have atitool to do the artifact scanning. I'm at 690/1040 stable without raising the voltage thanks to those programs. both atitool and rivatuner allow you to set the fan to 100% speed. And yes, I have the same video card as you, so rest assured it'll work.
