Is it safe to buy CPU's on eBay? And do you still get warrantied (by Intel)?

Their OK... but Newegg is better :D

Look at: Seller Rating, Stepping, Warranty, and OC specs... as OCing voids warranty

It's safe if you know how to buy, as in make sure you're buying from a seller with high positive feedback, detailed item descriptions, etc.

I take it the DOA rate of CPU's is low. And I'm assuming you would only buy new, never used. I just bought a refurbed mouse from a power seller with good ratings (just deals) and had a very bad experience. As it turns out, their reseller ratings are terrible.

I buy used CPU's as well, and I also sell used processors. I don't like buying from people who over-volted their processors though.

Their very low. Unless of course someone jacked up the voltage for no reason and burnt it out :P

No matter if they have 99.1% feedback or whatever, read their bad feedbacks. ;) You can learn alot of what they did if something goes wrong :)

How could you know this? Just from past experience?
