I am getting Playstation 3 and am so excited!!!! First 2 game that I am getting is Motorstorm which is coming with it and Call of Duty 4. I have a question. Is there a way to transfer the games from my PS2 memory card on the PS3? I have some games in progress on PS2. Which brings me to my other question. Do most PS2 games play on PS3?

I could be wrong but I think its only backwards compatable if you get the super expensive one...well they are terribly overpriced but still. I could be wrong but you might want to verify that. Hope you have a high def tv to play it on!

They wouldn't do that, from what I hear PS1 and PS2 games work on a PS3.

I'm getting the 80gb one and don't have a hi-fi tv!
I believe you mean Hi-Def.

how do you plan on hooking it up? PS3 does not have RCA's right?
The PS3 has the option to be used via RCA outputs, it's not only compatible with Hi-Def TV's.

Yeah I just read that on gamespy. They say with the RCA's though you get a drastic video difference.

Yes, I have a PS3 and I'm currently using component cables and it sucks. I ordered an HDMI cable off of newegg over the weekend. When browsing the net its quite blurry and games just aren't as crisp as they should be. Most PS2 and PS1 games are compatible with the PS3. For a full list of games go to http://faq.eu.playstation.com/bc/bcGames.htm To answer the other question about transfering files. Yes, you can but you have to buy a 15 dollar adapter which can be seen here http://www.ebgames.com/product.asp?product_id=802581 I hope this helps.

the 80 GB

the 80GB most games are compatible with the 60GB they are compatible in hardware mode i think something like that not sure dont have the 60GB myself got the 80 GB here but one version is not compatible with any ps2 games or psone games
