Lines When Trying To View Videos

I will try nd explain this as bst I can. Anyway, yesterday, I went to watch a movie I've downloaded and it was fine. I turned it off and turned it back on to watch to watch it again later on. There are thick lines horizontal lines through the video, the whole thing. From start to finish. I've never had that problem before. I've watched all the rest of the ovies I have and there fine, crystal clear. No problem whatsoever. I've downloaded a few TV episodes since then. I got the same prolem. With the recent ideos I've downloaded. It kinda hard to tell bu it kinda looks like the video is zoomed in some or maybe it kinda looks that wa cuz it's hard to see. I usueally watch the Videos using WMP. I've tried using the Veoh Player amnd the same thing. They are all AVI files but all my movies are all AVI files anyway so I don't think that would have anything to do with it. It's only happening to videos I've downloaded recently.
 
it most likely the video, i assume you are talking about illegal downloads...in that case you can hardly complain can you...plus we dont discuss illegal topics here!!!!

Amanda, welcome to the forums!

If you paid for the movies, is there any customer service that you can contact to see if you can get another download? I guess I am curious. I have often wonderd what would happen at netflix if you got a bad download.
 
I've fixed the problem. In WMP, I went to properties>Performance>Advanced and the "use high quality mode" was checked which was cuasing the problem.
