Hey, im looking at the moment to build myself a new system which is ultimately going to be for gaming. Just looking for any thoughts or suggestions on the parts i am currently looking at. I am on a budget so dont want any parts that are hugely more expensive..thanks alot :)

CPU: Core2 Duo E6750
Cooler: Zalman 9700 LED
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R
RAM: Corsair TWIN2X2048-6400C4DHX (2X1Gb)(800mhz)
HDD: 2X Seagate Barracuda 320Gb 7200RPM 16Mb SATA 2
Case: Thermaltake Soprano Black Midi Tower Case (w/ 430W PSU)
Graphics: XFX 8800GT 512mb
OS: Vista Home Premium

At this stage im also thinking if i need to buy a bigger PSU that the 430W that comes with the Soprano...

Thanks for any suggestions guys :)

I don't think you need a bigger PSU. I saw eVGA's 8800GTS box at Circuit City. On the side it recommends at least 400W, and the 8800GT uses less power.

i would go with a 500 watt just to be safe. but if it comes with the case then its a waste of money to buy another one.

are you planning to overclock? cos if you are then the cooler is a good choice. but if your not then use the stock one.

No case cpu's are usually real low quality and low in specifics.

Alright then. As for the motherboard, say i was going to overclock what is it like at that? And is there a better mobo for around the same price? And by better i mean both for over clocking and better just in general. I have pretty much just gone the p35c cos it also has support for ddr3 and just i have heard good things about it. Any thoughts?

i would go with that if i were you.

gigabyte is a reliable mobo brand IMO.

and the P35 boards are good.

Only one suggestion: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820211174...

Yes, you'll definitely need a bigger PSU...
