I'm so confused about what products I should get, I'll list out what I've thought would be good give me ideas tho I need anything in between $1000-2000 for full computer but anyway heres what I have so far and all are off http://www.tigerdirect.com

Xion Onyx Black Gaming ATX Case $90.00
EVGA nForce 650i Ultra (A1 Version) Socket 775 ATX Motherboard $90.00
Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 Processor $300.00
PNY 1024 MB PC4200 DDR2 533 Mhz Memory $30.00 Getting 2 pcks of them
Creative Labs Sound Blaster X-fi Xtreme Gamer PCI Sound Card $90.00
Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 500 GB Hard Drive $109.99 Getting two!
 Undecided Graphics Card, mouse etc. so i need help =( and thanks in advance :D
 
If I were you, I would get 4 gigs of ram, and preferably 1066mhz, not 533mhz (even if you stick with 2gigs of ram, i would still get some faster ram)

Most people will also recommend a Q6600, and then everyone else will say "wait until Jan. for 45nm chips" which I also agree with.
 
oh and before i forget all ill be doing on it is photoshop, maybe some halo 1, music etc. maybe more gaming in the future tho cuz i like pc gaming =)

Don't judge my computer. I was in the Pentium age when this was built. Nice solid, friggin fast. The HDD is 12 years old or so... The case I got from the garbage... the GFX doesn't have a fan... the PSU was $10.... And I got all of the opticals from Ebay for less than $15... :D

INTEL is the way to go right now. Core 2 Duo's are much better now :(
