At what settings could i play The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion with my system???(system specs on my sig...)

Your video is good but your ram is low. Also the Proc. is a bit of a hold back.

I've not played Oblivion for more then 10 minutes but I'd say, Medium settings. Drop in another 512mb of ram and you'll see a large difference.

If oblivion style games are your interest invest in 2gb of ram and consider upgrading your processor. Your graphics is decent but it just makes your system unbalanced.

Ok thanks, and about the RAM, am i going to have good perfomance by adding say an extra 512 of KIngston ValueRAM even though i already have Samsung 2x256MB?????? (I have 4 slots) or should i buy 1GB of dual channel memory???? Would an Athlon 64 3700+ boost the performance too???

an athlon 64 would make a difference over the sempron,.. yes.. but maybe have a look into a X2 3800+ :)

also.. adding 2x 256Mb shouldnt be a problem ;)

I got it about 2 hours ago, and it set the settings automatically at -high- it runs pretty fast, (altough im getting 512MB more RAM) but chaning subject a little bit, what exactly do you do in Oblivion???

Well it is a First Person Role Playing game. I've not played it much more then 10 minutes, Just follow along with the story, you'll learn as you go ;).

Edit:

Also, usually more performance is realized with less memory sticks in a system. Like to achieve 1gb it is best to have 512mb x2. Or for 2 gb's it is best to have 1gb x 2 (instead of 512 x 4). The more sticks in a system, the slower the timings.

about oblivion

ok i just got the elder scrolls 4 oblivion i got it for pc and ps3 but on the game i have a broken sword so where do i go to get the sword repaired so i can use it again? and what town is best to go to to get it repaired i just got past the part where emperor uriel i think his name is dies and i took amulet to jauffer i think his name is

You will absolutely be able to play Oblivion with that. My old system's specs are lower than yours (in every category) and I was able to play it on the highest settings. So, other than AA, you'll probably be able to play it on the highest settings.

umm

if your answering me i wasnt talking about system specs im talking ingame here i have a broken sword and i need to get it fixed and i dont know where to go in the game to get it repaired

yeah i can run oblivion fine on my pc tho

First of all, this thread is almost a year old!!! :D (Oblivion is still a great game, still amazes me!)

Second, thanks for reviving thread :)

And last, If you have hammers in your inventory you can use them to fix your sword, or yo could go to any city and where they sell weapons they can repair it for you. And I reckon the prices vary as time goes by and it also depends on how messed your weapon is so I'd say there's not a "best" place to go.

;)
