Need Help , Just built a computer

hey guys,

I just built a computer and I do not know what to do next. when I turn the computer the main screen with the motherboard brand comes out and then since i ordered the PC to boot from CD , when I insert Windows XP cd upgrade, it ask me to press any keys so that the computer boot from the cd, then as soon as I press any key, the computer tries to boot windows xp but a blue screen pops out, with a stop code. What can it be?

what do you mean a windows xp upgrade? Am I missing something? aren't there only Vista upgrade CD's? lol

Or do you mean just a regular windows xp disc?

I can tell your HDD may be on the brink of failure.
 
before the blue screen it ask me if i want to start the computer with the last known configuration or if i want to start normally or in Safe. mode. then thats when this blue screen with the code comes out.

Could it be that i have to erase everything I have in the HDD and format the HDD?

or maybe because im not using an XP upgrade and not a complete windows xp installation?

i think its cause youre using the upgrade disk....who knows though, you should try formatting the HD, see what happens, and repost back up :)
