I'm contemplating putting a computer into an old car of mine as an experiment. I'm looking for the smallest motherboard ever built, so far the smallest form factor seems to be "mini-itx" but I don't know if there was ever any unusual model built that was smaller.

It doesn't have to be the newest motherboard, cuz it's just an experiment in design and function of a computer in the car for now.

I'm going to have to guess the motherboards used in cell phones. Unless you mean a PC, then one of those 4.5" Sony Vaio's perhaps?

Whats a smaller motherboard than a cell phone, im sure there is one, but I can't think what it could be.

Theres a mainboard in pretty much any electronic device. A digital watch is smaller then cell phones and such.

Somehow I thought of a Pedometer.... But I'm sure there are really small electronics that the Government use, but we'll never know about them.
