it will start, but do not expect it to do much more then that, because of the video card. how much would DELL charge you for this computer? im sure you can build a much better one for a better price, that will outperform it by miles

So you're saying the video card is no good to play Call of Duty 4? I'm not really good at building computers, just choosing the parts. They are charging me $1239. It's an xps 210. I can't find any other website where they would sell a Windows XP in the build because I hear Vista sucks.

i have vista, and have been known to argue against that point since i got it almost a year ago now. vista rules :D

for 1239 the computer is too overpriced, look into building, its really the only way to get a deal that will work for a good while, and for that much money you can get a very nice computer

Agreed, have a look at other threads and u can definitively get a better built than that, specially if ur willing to spend 1200$!

Well its nice but Dell Makes me go SICK with green face :X... But i would get a video card that will do more than that. But Xp is all right i went with vista and its good but the thing about vista you GOT TO know how TO USE IT !!! Because its new dont mean you cant use it . But all comp.

G-skill DDR800 $46.99
coolermaster centurion 5 case $44.99
sony DVD burner $25
seagate barracuda 250GB $69.99
Gigabyte Ga-P35-DS3L $96.99
Intel C2D E6750 2.66GHZ $190.99
Corsair HX520 PSU $109.99
Acer 22" 5ms 1680/1024 $199.99
ATI radeon 3850 512MB $199.99
Windows vista home premium $109.99

all of this comes out to a very small 1050$ obo before shipping, which, being faaaaaaar better then the dell, is upgradeable, looks good, will play CoD4 very well, and costs less, and has a nicer bigger widescreen... you really want to consider building yourself

Ah you see that's the set of components for you to build it yourself with. Trust us when we say it's easy, everything only goes in one way and there are instructions on this very forum on how to do it. Lovely, I would use the money from the monitor to go with an 8800GT from eVGA and perhaps get a slightly better motherboard.

hmm i do really like the motherboard, i think someone on here swears by it like the bible? was it oscaryu? IDK... but hmm

personally i wouldnt spend any less then that amount on a monitor, its so important that with a 1200$ build i think 200 is right about where it should be. nevertheless, since my build only came out to 1000 obo, there is easily room to change out the 3850 for an 8800, i only picked that card to save a bit of money anyways.
