so i downloaded it version 1.3.0 and every time i try to run it it locks up. anyone had this problem before?
 
that fixed it.

how's 15929 for a score? i don't have 2 gigs like my sig says, rather 1 gb of pny ram. the 2 gigs should be delived tomorrow.

does that score sound about right?
 
I think the only people that matters to are those morons over in the Mad Onion forums. Otherwise, the numbers are useless for anything but judging the effects of any upgrades you happen to do on your own machine.

yeah, that's what i was going for. i just built this system so i only used 3dmark as a benchmarking tool to kind of see if everything was installed/everything is running like it should be. i don't actually care if that is an important score or anything, just if it sounds about right.

what would you think i'd be getting with that setup? i will change out my 1gb ram with 2gb today when it comes in. the ram i have is pny pc2-5400. i've been told that pny is kind of bottlenecking the rest of the components as it's crappy ram...

In 3DMark06 you should be getting around 10-11K, 9500 is what I got on my previous system with an E6300 and 8800GTS

could the RAM affect the score?

the 8800gts is a good card though...beats the 3850 in a lot of benchmarks (although not all of them)...
 
What's your point? If you think that you have a good pc, then so be it. We didn't really ask for your points. I think there is a 3dmark topic, post your score there.

well as i already stated, i don't really know if my pc is doing what it's supposed to for what i have, jeez...besides, this is my post, not yours.
 
Don't get pissed off, all I am trying to say is; if you want to show your scores, do it then at the 3dmark topic. Besides, what do you want to know? Did the system crash during the process? If it didn't, then your pc runs well.
