Beryl & Aero Confusion.

Why does Beryl look so much better/more advanced then Aero yet it's much less resource hungry? I was watching a video on youtube, and the guy was using a Geforce 5200 with 512mb of ram, and beryl was running perfectly. There's NO WAY Aero would act this stable with these components...

Is it just poor/sloppy "coding" on M$ part?
 
Linux is designed in a different fashion to Windows; this means it handles resources differently (better) and it can run on lesser hardware than Vista requires.
 
If you were watching a Beryl video then the effects you saw would be quite old now as Beryl was discontinued sometime in 2007. Have a look for Compiz Fusion videos, the newer the better to see what effects are being used these days. http://www.compiz-fusion.org/
